This week in 4B....

We are having a wonderful week in 4B!

Don't forget:  tomorrow is our 4th grade class picture that will be displayed in the hallway by the office!

"We just started learning about surveys, patterns and graphs.  Miss Bergin gave us a sheet of paper that had a list of things to do.  The directions were to read the questions and turn in the paper but everyone fell for it and did the silly questions.  We learned to read directions!" -Addie

"We are in Mrs. Prost's room for Science.  We are learning about the Human Body-it's fun!  We learned that our frontal lobes make decisions and some are more developed then others."-Maddie

Social Studies & Writing- "We need to remember to look at the calendar that Miss Bergin gave us with all our due dates.  We need to check it each night to make sure we are not behind on our work.  Today we wrote our first paragraph about our Famous Missourians" -Emma

"We are working on how to answer reading passages to show what we know." -Addie

This week in 4B...

I heard wonderful stories from the weekend during our daily high & low class meeting.  We also practiced today how to let someone know something in a polite manner that may not be easy.  For example, how do you tell someone they have food in their teeth without hurting their feelings?  Ask your child the example they role played for the class.  :)

-Science: We started our new unit with Mrs. Prost to learn all about the Human Body!

-Reading: We are focusing on Non-Fiction text features and supporting our responses with evidence from the text.

-Writing/S.S.: We are working hard on our Informational Writing unit.  We are using our Famous Missourians to practice researching, drafting and organizing our writing to inform the reader.  Our on demand at the end of the unit will be on a topic of our choice so our 30 Book Challenge will come in handy when when recalling information that we have read.

-Math: Measurement Unit-We have a test Friday and our study guide is the homework for the week.
